Born and bred in Western Australia, I spent my childhood exploring everything WA has to offer, travelling extensively throughout the South West land division and right up to Ningaloo and the Kimberly. With this unique and special upbringing, I have an appreciation of how precious Australia is and this is where my passion for travelling developed.
Leaving high school, I headed for Europe as an 18yo where I spent five months exploring, developing friendships and lasting memories. After my Europe trip and a few years at home, I packed my bags again and headed to Canada where I lived for two years. Over this time, I lived in the snow, travelled to Central and South America and travelled all the way up to Alaska.
Having travelled for so many years, it was amazing and unforgettable, however, it made me realise how iconic attractions and sights risk becoming degraded from too many tourists damaging natural habitat and that precious environments can become destroyed by trails of rubbish.

In order to lower my footprint on the places I visit, I have over time researched and talked to other travellers on how to travel and live a sustainable life. There are so many ways this can be done its hard to know where to start. I have developed a page to inform fellow travellers on how to start their sustainable journey.
Explore my page, “A Wandering Compass”, on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Here you can connect with other like-minded people and contribute with your own valuable insights on how to make it possible.
